Mac Hong Quan: 'Doan Van Hau should not go to the Netherlands'

Speaking recently, Mac Hong Quan identified Doan Van Hau as the most talented player in Vietnamese football. However, overseas Vietnamese midfielder said that the Netherlands is a tournament that is not suitable for the level of Vietnamese players.

Mac Hong Quan shared: "If Hau chooses a suitable team in Europe, has a slightly lower level or good club in Asia and creates a foothold, then move to the Netherlands to play, Hau's position at the team will certainly be better now.

Hau is one of the most talented players in Vietnamese football. However, the biggest problem is the level difference between the V.League and the Dutch national championship. The transition from V.League to a Dutch team is still a long way off "- according to Zing.

After 5 months of moving to the Netherlands to play football, Doan Van Hau has not received the trust of coach Johnny Jansen. Vietnam defender has only been playing for 4 minutes in the playground of the Dutch Cup. However, Van Hau did a good job of improving his physical strength by weitgh from 70kg to 80.5 kg.

Mac Hong Quan has taken Thai football stars like Chanathip, Bunmathan or Dangda as examples of choosing the right destination that will easily bring success. Midfielder Than Quang Ninh affirmed that Vietnamese football will not be inferior to the 'great rival' if taking similar steps.​
