Coach Park Hang-seo will most likely not have the service of Pham Xuan Manh in the Vietnam vs Malaysia match in the 2022 World Cup Qualifier.

Vietnam will meet the Malaysian team in Group G World Cup qualifying round 2022. However, coach Park Hang-eo will not have the most powerful force when Trong Hoang, Dinh Trong are suspended, and Huy Hung and Xuan Truong were injured.

Of the four players mentioned above, Trong Hoang is the one who made Park worried the most, because the position of the Viettel player is simply not replaceable. Accordingly, the Korean strategist has planned some names to replace Trong Hoang in the upcoming match against Malaysia.

The players who are planned to be right defenders are those who have worked a lot with Park such as Vu Van Thanh, Pham Xuan Manh, Tran Van Kien or Ho Tan Tai. The 60-year-old military leader is 'aiming' for two princesses at the U23 Asian Cup 2018, Van Thanh and Xuan Manh.

Xuan Manh relapsed from injury before the 2020 season.

However, just before the start of the 2020 V.League, Pham Xuan Manh reported bad news to Park. According to some sources, the SLNA No. 11 defender has relapsed a ankle injury during training in preparation for the 2020 season.

This is a trauma Xuan Manh had encountered in 2019 and made him have to quit playing for a long time. This persistent injury has made Xuan Manh miss appointments with many important tournaments of Vietnam like AFF Cup 2018, Asian Cup 2019.

It is unclear the severity of Xuan Manh's injury, but if this defender fails to recover before the 2022 World Cup Qualifier, it will be a great loss for Vietnam. Meanwhile, coach Park Hang-seo will have to put complete trust in Vu Van Thanh - the player has not regained its peak performance as at U23 Asia 2018.

Coach Park Hang-seo will definitely continue to watch and wait for Xuan Manh's recovery. He and his colleagues will close the list of Vietnam after the 3rd round of the 2020 V.League (March 20). The whole team will gather in Binh Duong on March 21 to prepare for a friendly match against Kyrgyzstan on March 26.

After the match at Go Dau Stadium, Vietnam will march to Malaysia on March 31. Currently, the army of Coach Park is leading Group G with 11 points, the Malaysian opponent is right behind with 2 points less. Therefore, the 'Golden Dragon' needs to gain all 3 points to increase the gap.
